Why is religion violent?

Well, most of the major religions have learned to live peacefully.
The alternative is perpetual war and mutual destruction.
Islamic Pakistan has nukes.
Hindu India has nukes.
Jewish Isreal has nukes.
The Christian United States and Europe have nukes.
Russia and China have nukes too, but they say they are secular.

Terrorists do not yet have nukes.
But, they will eventually use nukes to threaten the world.
Domestic terrorists are anarchists and religious fanatics.
If they get nukes, they will most likely use them.

The Old Testament of the Christian Bible is tribal and very violent.
The middle east is still tribal and very violent and devoutly religious.
God told the prophets of the Old Testament Bible to commit genocide.
Jesus preached peace in the New Testament..
But, then he said those who would not obey him would die(Luke 19:27).
Religion is divisive and violent because it can not tolerate disobedience.

I fear in 2020 terrorists will use a nuke.
