| Her Glow Waiting so with bated breath For the one who counts That even the slightest movement Of autumn leaves makes her breathless. When an early morning gentle zephyr Told her of his journey home She glowed With a heart full of Beauty and light A light that filled her With endless joy. Funny how she listened To his firm, familiar footsteps Heard the deep resonance Of a particular voice Felt the air of effortless Ease he carries. Her senses swam With illusory reality Absence sure sharpens The proximity That thrives Between partners Of a life time. An addiction continuing From this life to the next To another, yet another. The cherished moments Flashed before her inner eyes Fresh as morning blossoms Even after years. Memory of anger peace and love A pleasant recapture even now Made her lose the sense of time For time apart from him Had no reason or rhyme She thus decorated Her thought sites While she waited For the one who counts Her addiction continued Unabated. |
