| Gingerbread dance with glittered decor; Their gumdrop eyes hold sweet secrets Of packages wrapped with tinseled bows Hidden in closets, just out of sight. Breathe in the freshness of pine tree wild, String popcorn still warm from the popper As scent mingles with sugar cookie delights And hot chocolate perches in white mustache up top curved smiles filled with laughter. The holiday season swoons As fresh roasted turkey fills the warmth And family gathers by the hearth To sing traditional carols And celebrate the birth of a Saviour. Lines = 14.
