O Lord of the Universe,
I raise my voice in gratitude
for both prosperity
and its absence,
because both come to me in accordance
to Thy will.

On the first Thankful Thursday of September 2020,
I give thanks
for the beauty of a hot
late summer day,
for the cereal
I had for breakfast,
and for the coffee and cookies
I had
for my morning snack.
