Luke 15:4 What man of you having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them doth not leave the ninety nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he is found? Have you ever wondered what you would do, if you knew this was your last day on earth? If we knew that this is truly our last day, what would we do and say? If you are saved you wouldn't have to worry about your final destination. Could you imagine being lost, not knowing Jesus and know that you would die today? I would definitely want to accept Jesus into my heart. This type of event is happening everyday, except with one thing left out,the person dying lost had no idea they wouldn't live to see tomorrow.Unless we tell others about the good news of God's only Son, many people will be lost forever. Let us share Jesus with everyone we encounter. God will rejoice over those who accept Him. God Seeks the Lost God is seeking His lost sheep He wants them in His fold, their souls to keep God wants the lost to be saved To experience the love that Jesus gave So many are dying and they are lost In hell their souls will pay the cost Let us get busy and tell everyone about God's only Son That someone will be saved, let God's will be done So many people are dying lost every single day Let us not be guilty of not telling them about Jesus along the way Let us spread the news of Jesus' love, and hope the lost come to the realization If they don't accept Jesus, hell will be their final destination |
Psalm 73:24 Thou shalt guide me with Thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. Sometimes life is like a roller coaster, there are so many twists and turns. Problems in life have their ups and downs, then we are thrown a curve. We feel like we are standing in mid air, and have no control over our situation in our life. Thank God, for He is our Guide, showing us which direction to take. God guides us through every mile that we travel, and helps comfort us when we hit a bump in the road. God minister's to us, and will let us know what we need to do. God is our Guide and He can put the breaks on, and stop all the chaos when life takes us on a wild ride. God can calm storm that rages out of control, He will guide our path, and see us safely through all of life's problems. Even in death, He will lead us home. Father, Guide Our Path Dear Father, guide our every path Protect us from Satan and his wrath Lord, by our side always remain Your love and guidance is our gain Lord, when our life feels so empty and incomplete We need Your guidance, when Satan has us on the hot seat We need Your guidance to make us strong To show us the path, on which we belong We need Your guidance and love, so that we can spiritually bloom So that Satan can't drag us down, with his doom and gloom |
Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Psalm 51:10 So many times in our life, we get angry and rebel with words of anger. Our tongue is like a two edge sword, spitting out words of hurt and disgust. In our hearts we hold grudges, and bitterness builds inside. We say and do things to others that can ruin their lives. We inflict pain upon them, and just keep adding fuel to the flame. Many times in our life we lie to get what we want. Sometimes we didn't even care, what it took to get what we wanted. Didn't matter how many people we hurt or walked on to get where we wanted to be. Then one grand day, Jesus Christ put conviction on our heart. All our cruel and horrible ways of dealing with people were revealed. We were convicted by His love that we needed to change how we do things. The ONE and only way to do that was to let God create in us a new heart. To wipe away the old ways and place the love of Jesus Christ in our heart. To engrave Jesus into our heart, and repent for sins that we had done in the past. Jesus can take the vilest sinner, and make in them a clean heart. How do I know this to be true, because He changed me one of the vilest sinners ever. I still fail God everyday, but God sends the Holy Spirit to whisper to me. To remind me to treat others how I want to be treated. To love my neighbors as Jesus has loved us. To forgive and forget just like Jesus has done for us. God made a way for every sinner to find forgiveness, in turn we must forgive others. We must live our life for God, to do His work daily. Yes there will be days that we fail, but with the help of God in Heaven we can finish our journey in life. Doing the work that God instructs us to do, stay close to God by reading our bible. God can take a person that seems so useless, and mold them into a master piece just by His touch. We are dirty, and vile, until Jesus Christ makes us white as snow. I thank God for Jesus Christ, who made it possible for all sinners to be saved. Father, create in us a new heart So others we do not tear apart Let us love one another each day To treat our neighbors in a loving way If someone is in need, let us lend a hand To listen to their problems and try to understand Let us offer words of complete encouragement Not to do and says things that cause discouragement Let us love like there is no tomorrow Let us comfort those who feel sorrow Let us be kind, and walk in Your will Father, teach us to listen and be still In all that we do, let us keep our eyes on Jesus Christ As we travel through this world of problems and strife No matter what may come our way Warm our heart for others everyday |
James 5:10-11 10Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience. 11Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy. Sometimes we feel like we are so broken, that no way can we ever be mended. Our hearts become so broken by grief, sorrow, and sadness. We become broken by life, that our problems never seem to end. Many times we sink into depression, we give into all the strife that surrounds us. Just like the other day, a real bad storm came through our area. The wind blew fierce, and the lightning took down half of a tree in our yard. Half of the tree was still standing and strong, only a huge branch was torn down. The rest of the tree had weathered the storm, it was still standing. In life many times that is how we feel, that parts of our life are so broken that they can not be repaired. Just like in this verse, we must remember the prophets of old. They endured many days of suffering, and were persecuted by many. But God helped them through, He helped them to remain strong. So let us remember if we feel like we are broken, God can mend and repair every area that needs fixed. He loves us and will use moments in our life, to help us see His plan for our life. Lord, many times I feel like I am broken Words so cruel to me have been spoken The world seems to be trying to tear me down No rainbow or sunshine at times can be found I fall into such a deep depression Then here comes a deep recession Then Father, I remember that You can fix anything Mend and repair my broken heart, so I can again sing Father, if I am broken, You will mend every part You take care of my soul, and comfort my heart Like the prophets of old, suffering we will endure You will take care of along the way that is for sure So I am not broken, may be a little bent My time with God is always well spent So let us remember, if we become broken God's word of comfort, to our hearts will be spoken God can fix anything, nothing is impossible to Him He can repair the tree, that has the broken limb |
Leviticus 19:9-10 9. Now when you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap to the very corners of your field, neither shall you gather the gleanings of your harvest. 10. Not shall you glean your vineyard, nor shall you gather the fallen fruit of your vineyard; you shall leave them for the needy and for the stranger. I am the LORD your God. God told the Israelites not to harvest all of their vineyards, and the crops in the harvest. He was showing them to be compassionate to the poor and the to people who may be traveling through their land. Someone may be hungry and not have the money to buy food. By the Israelites leaving the fallen fruit and leaving crops from the harvest many could be fed, God was giving them a lesson about love your neighbor and teaching them to show compassion to others who were less fortune. This is one thing that we need to practice in our Christian walk with God. We need to show compassion and help others when given the opportunity. We need to extend our hand in friendship to a person who is lonely. Just sit and listen to someone who needs us to extend a listening ear. To be a shoulder that someone can cry on, just to be a friend to someone who is hurting. We also need to tell the lost about Jesus. That He came to save all sinners, if we will accept Him and believe that He is God's only Son. Sent to die for our sins. Let us be messengers for God, to tell the world of the good news that Jesus lives today. That He died on the cross for our sins, but Praise God HE AROSE ON THE THIRD DAY. Let us always show compassion towards others, regardless of who they are. Every soul matters to God in heaven. Let us not be picky about who we tell about Jesus. Let us be compassionate and have the desire to tell a lost and dying world that Jesus can save their soul. That He has paid the price for our sins. All we have to do is believe in Him. Showing Compassion Father, I have come to You many times in need Every single time You have answered my plead Father, many times I have turned to You with my frustration I have come to You crying, feeling such loss and devastation Not one time Father have You ever turned me away Let me show this compassion that You have for others everyday Let me practice the love and compassion that You have shown me To extend this compassion to others, so that Your love they can see Father, let me love my neighbors, as You have loved me Telling all the world of Jesus Christ, that He can set them free Father, let compassion and love be seen in everything that I do So that I can tell the world, about this true love that comes from You |
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose. Many times in our life we experience rocky roads. So many things go wrong at the same time. We experience a great loss, problems paying bills, dealing with a boss that pushes us to hard. Many times we have to deal with loved ones becoming really sick. At one time in my life I came to the point to where I cried out to God, I can't take anymore. There is nothing I can do about all these problems, I prayed for God to lift my burdens, and help me through all my trials. This was a turning point in my life, I had been trying to handle things on my own. I found out that I couldn't handle nothing without God. I put God in charge of my days, now He guides my path, and carries my load. Our trials and troubles can draw us closer to God, where we need to be. His purpose for our lives can truly begin. Closer To God Our trials and troubles we should give to God In agreement with His plan our feet will trod When times get to be really long and tough Place your faith in Him,His love is more than enough When troubles fall just like the rain God will help us through the pain When we feel overwhelmed, and can't go on God will wrap us in His arms, so we know we are not alone Closer to God is where we want and need to be He will take care of the problems that afflict you and me When times of trouble get to be way to much Give it to God, He will calm the waves of life with His touch |
Philippians 3:12-14 12.Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. 13.Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14.I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Have you ever had one of those days, that chaos thrives in your life. Trials and tribulations just over take you. Then some one you know does an act that just tears you apart. They take and cut you to the very core, and then you think this is nothing that I deserved. They hurt you just to make themselves feel good. They feel no remorse for their acts of cruelty, and they just move on to their next victim. I am amazed that someone can hurt others so deeply, and it does not seem to bother them at all. Things like this have been happening for a few day, and today I realized I can not focus on them anymore. They have to be left in yesterday, yes in the past is where they belong. I must forgive the ones who has hurt those I love. I must pray for them and ask God to help me not hold resentment. I will pray that they will be more kind and loving towards others. That they will see that their actions can destroy others self-esteem. I will keep my eye on the main prize, one day when we get to see Jesus Christ. I will follow His example of love and forgiveness. I will not hold on to yesterday, I will let the past go. I will live for this moment, and leave anger and bitterness out of my life. I have no room for such petty things. God will help us work through all the mixed emotions, and help us throw away the ones that need to go. Father, help me to leave yesterday in the past So that I can move on with today at last Help us to forgive and learn to let go of the anger Let resentment and bitterness to us be a stranger Let us not keep focusing on the hurt Let us bury all obstacles in the dirt Never to dig them up, let them never again to be sought To remind that through Jesus Christ my forgiveness was bought Father, let us live for today To let yesterday fade away Not to dwell and just remember all the pain No to focus on things that drive us insane Let us focus on the blessings that we have been given That through Jesus Christ every one of sins are forgiven Father, let us always look toward the main prize Not to hide hurt and resentment in disguise To let all the things of yesterday pass To forgive and love, until the very last |
1 Peter 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word that ye may grow thereby. In Kentucky we are experiencing a horrible drought. Many areas have been unable to water their lawns, and gardens all summer long. Some areas are fining customers for going over a certain amount of water usage a month. Everywhere you look peoples lawns are brown, the leaves on the trees have died out long before fall arrived. Many forest fires are out of control. We have received some rain, enough to help get the fires under control. If we don't receive more rain soon our water supply could dry up. Just like in this case, if we don't read and grow in God's word, we will dry up. By reading God's Holy Word, it helps to fill our soul and keeps us close to God. We can keep a close relationship to God by reading our bible. Also by reading our bible our soul is fed, and God's word helps us to know right from wrong. It helps to guide our path in life, and gives us direction. The bible is our road map to follow, God gave it to us to follow. By reading the bible we are equipped with the greatest weapon of keeping Satan at bay, God's holy word. We can use it's guidance to not let Satan lead us astray. Our Road Map Lord, I never want to stop learning about You I want to grow closer to You in all I do By reading Your holy word to You we feel so close It's powerful messages keep us on my toes We are just like a baby, Your nourishment we always need By reading Your holy word our soul is filled indeed We always want to grow in Your love To learn more about heaven above The bible is our road map, that will light our path Keeping close to God, and reading His holy word, will lead us home at last |
Proverbs 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths. In our everyday life we experience many difficulties. We go through times that we are tossed about by the waves of life. Problems come our way and make us drift off course. We lose site of the job that God would have us to do. We get wrapped up in everyday problems and forget to consult with God in prayer. When the burdens get to be to much that is when we call out to Jesus to deliver us through all the chaos that we are going through. If we keep the lines of communication open everyday with God in prayer we won't experience so much doubt and confusion in our everyday life. Let us remember to include God in our everyday plans because He may need to alter them for us. May we always let Jesus guide us on the path that we need to take, so that we can do God's will. When we are in doubt to Jesus let us call out and say "Jesus, Help Me Please. Just like in all of this snow in the past three weeks, when you feel that you are slipping and sliding, let Jesus take the wheel. When you know you are heading for the ditch, call out for Jesus to help you out. Some days my life feels like it is spinning out of control, with all that we have been through this last year. Losing so many loved ones in such a short time, has just about taken its toll. God knows what we have faced, and has given a period of rest. Now days I have to remind myself, to just slow down and take a little time for myself. When you focus on everyone for so long, it is so hard to give time to yourself. ;You feel guilty for thinking of yourself. I know that has been the case with me. God knows what we needed and He has provided that needed rest. Today for that I am so thankful. Jesus Help Me I am walking in this barren land So many things I don't understand People their hearts have grown cold Some not as caring in the days of old Jesus, help me to know which way to go To understand things I need to truly know Jesus, help me to avoid Satan's trap To follow the Holy Bible as a road map Help me to avoid things that will make me stumble Help make my heart pure, let me always be humble Jesus help us not to follow the ways of this world Around Your feet let us always be sitting and curled When our direction in life we begin to doubt To You Jesus let us give a loud shout When life gets us down and our spirit needs a lift Help us Jesus to Your arms let us always drift |
Matthew 26:39 And He went a little further, and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. I am proud to be an American! Our freedom came at a price. I am so thankful for those who gave their lives to preserve our freedom. Many have died protecting our freedom, and I want to thank all the men and women serving our country today. Thank you for the sacrifices that you and your families make everyday to make our freedom possible. May God bless you greatly. I feel I have been given the greatest freedom of all. I have been saved by the blood of Jesus Christ. I have been set free from Satan's grips, through Jesus my soul has been set free. One day I will get to walk on heaven's shores. Freedom Comes at a Price Dear Father in heaven, thank You for the freedom we have received For the gift of your Son Jesus, we are saved because we believed Thank you for the freedom that we have found Because through Jesus, by Satan we are no longer bound Thank You for the freedom, of releasing my restraints of sin Thank You for the freedom, that comes from Jesus that cleanses within None of this freedom would have never been known If Your love for mankind had not been shown Freedom came at a very high price For our sins Your only Son was sacrificed Freedom came when Jesus arose on the third day When we accept Jesus our sins are taken away |
