A journal for all to record the best thing about their day, each day, for all to enjoy.
** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only **

Welcome to my journal. Well, actually, welcome to our journal - I hope! So that everyone can enjoy it, please stick to items with an E rating. Thanks - Enjoy!.

The best way I know of to count my blessings is to keep a daily journal recording the best thing about each day. I thought it might be nice if we had a community journal here at WDC where anyone could enter the "best thing" about their day. Believe me, whenever you're blue, or lonely, or not feeling well, it is wonderful to go back and read the journal entries. One day it might be something material and the next spiritual - whatever strikes your fancy. So please, be my guest and join me in a wonderful journalling experience.

The best thing(s) about today is:

Church - I spent the morning helping to clean and polish for a wedding this afternoon. I did it last week too.

I spoke to each of my children on the phone today.

Bob mowed the lawn for the first time this year - the smell of freshly cut grass was so special.

The bride was beautiful and the weather was perfect.

The Little League had their parade today - right past my front door

I took a wonderful nap.

The grass is actually greener in OUR yard. I have no idea why but it is greener and lusher than anyone else's.

Black Orchid is back

We drove a copule of hours south to see my son and it was beautiful- everything is in bloom. The trees are leafy and the flowering ones are just breathtaking. I was excited to begin with but the drive was like a spiritual renewal - God has been busy.

Hi! the best thing(s) about today is:

Church - a beautiful baby girl was baptized - she has 4 brothers!

A drive after church

I exercised!

Sunday dinner - mmm roast chicken

The tulips Bob bought me a few days ago are almost completely open. They are beautiful.

This afternoon I saw the fattest robin ever. He was shaped just like a ball and happily splashing around in the birdbath but he could hardly move, he kept kinda tipping over. I think I watched him for a good 15 minutes or so.

More dill pickles from the country market

No phones, no house or yard work - just me and Bob and the paper. Oh yeah, and the chicken.*Smile*

The best thing(s) about today is:

The country vegetable store is open for the season! I bought everything. They had lots of baby animals for everyone to see - baby turkeys and pigs - oh so cute. I bought a rosemary plant for the garden - the variety was marked "Tuscan" and it's a trailing type with very dark green leaves and oh so fragrant. They have the best home-cured dill pickles and I bought 10 of them!!! But there weren't 10 when we got home *Bigsmile*

This evening the birds were chirping after the rain and they were so loud - it sounded as if they were laughing and playing now that the storm is over.

Last year I planted a tiny rose bush and it was such a long winter I just wrote it off. Today - it's full of healthy green buds!! God's at work in my garden.

Hi again! My best thing about today is that I'm gonna break the rules again and list more than one best thing! *Smile*

I went to church today to help with the cleaning. I haven't been well enough to do that in about 2 years. I'm exhausted but it's a wonderful feeling and a privilege to make God's house shine.

I received two beautiful anonymous gifts yesterday - one a lovely Angel Bear and the other a beautiful new sig called Pen & Pencil, thank you so much.

I received a beautiful new beary sign as a gift from my wonderful friend Annethony.

Bob and I stayed in all afternoon and just enjoyed each other's company.

The nursery called and the pansies are in!

We're having dinner out.

It rained today and the damp earth smells wonderful.

My son is in the hospital and I spoke to him today for almost an hour.

I am so blessed today and every day. Please think about your blessings and share them here. You might remind us all of what we take for granted.
Hugs,
Ta

The best thing about today was running all sorts of errands I've been putting off. I tend to let little things slide until they clutter my mind and take up precious space. It' a really good feeling to get these things out of the way. Oh, and Bob bought me beautiful yellow tulips.

Sorry - I have to have two best things about today. One is I'm back after a day and a half without internet service. This is a very small village and they did some kind of upgrade for DSL customers that knocked us off. The next thing is really the best though, today is Bob's Birthday!! Another year - not older - but better, really better. I am so blessed to have him in my life at all, never mind that he loves me and we are together all the time. I'm taking him out for the day - we have no special plans, just whereever he wants to go and whatever he wants to do. The only thing I'm pretty certain of is that I'll gain weight!

Today was an amazing day and I am not sure if I can have just one best thing. But then again it is my blog - so what the heck, I can have as many as I want. I woke up smelling the sweet smell of spring. The air was fresh and you could smell the earth because so many people did yard work this weekend. Then, the front lawn was full of robins, big ones, tiny ones, fat ones, and they were all cute. I waited such a long time to see one and now they are everywhere! Then, I logged on to the computer and found out that I won second place in a contest for my item "Who Am I? " Well by now I'm jumping around like I need to be sedated and the phone rings, it's my daughter who has been out of the country. She called to say she arrived earlier than expected, safe and sound. At this point I am sure Bob felt the house could not contain me any longer so he took me shopping and out to dinner. Poor Bob, he forgot about the part where he'd be alone in the car with me! But, I had a geat time.

This evening I learned that our neighbor and his 11-year old son were in an ATV accident and were aiirlifted to a trauma center in New Jersey. It seems now that the father will be okay - although he has many serious injuries and faces a lot of surgery. The boy, on the other hand, is not doing as well -he has major head injuries and is in surgery at this moment. As these things often do, it reminded me how quickly our lives can change. My special thing for today is, well, today and all that goes with it.
