Strong For You

I'm strong for you when you need me, aren't I?
Always the one on whom you can depend
And you are seeing now a side of me
I rarely let anyone in.
I have never complained that you use me
As a medium through which you feel pain
And when you are hurting you run to me
And I comfort you again and again
Well what about ME!?!? I also have needs!
After all I am human
You don't know my silent fears and pains
You just see who I say I am.
But if you really cared to look closer
You would see the emotions I hide
However, you must offer genuine friendship
To see the pain I keep so deep inside.
