| Prompt:Fashion Shows Have you ever seen a Fashion Show or participated in one? How do you feel about Fashion Shows? Write about this in your Blog entry today. I watch Fashion Shows on TV. Like The Bold and the Beautiful. Those dresses were spilt clear up the waist and I live in Hooterville. Those dresses probably cost half as much as my car. I like being like Lisa Douglas of Green Acres but even Lisa wouldn't wear that! I modeled the dress my mother made me for the Prom at the 4H Fashion Show. I was in Miss Indiana Teenager and Junior Miss and I had to go on stage and walk in my formal. I had to stop and turn and smile. At the 1920s Tea Party, I dressed like Mary Crawley and showed off my dress on stage. Does walking down the aisle in your Wedding Dress count? These were my Fashion Show moments. | Prompt: Do holidays make you feel more connected to people? Yes. My father died a few weeks back and my son came home and so did my sister. This was at Thanksgiving time so it is sad. It bought us together. Holidays do bring families together. Holidays make us need each other. Funerals do as well. Thats sad as well. Other people. We seem full of good cheer on holidays. We do need other people and holidays remind us we love God and Jesus and how God wants us to be connected to each other. This is how I view things.  |

Winter time. Snow. Winter snow is beautiful but I don't care for the cold. I always thought riding in a sleigh with someone you love would be romantic. Walking in the snow isn't always pleasant. I do love Hallmark Romance movies where the couple enjoy Christmas at a Pageant and they fall in love. Christmas seems romantic. You can overlook the snow. Don't stay out too long. Laura Ingalls Wilder Write about childhood memories. Since my father died, I have the childhood memories of driving from Washington to Indiana and asking Are We There, Yet? Dad taking me to see President Kennedy at Andrews Air Force Base and the astronauts Grissom and Young. I remember Dad leaving for Vietnam three times and when he came home. Christmas Time. I love getting Barbies for Christmas. Sugar Cookies, seeing Santa Claus, decorating the tree and opening gifts. I remember fishing with Dad and he kept thinking he got a fish but it was a false alarm. He finally got a fish. Mom and I used to shop at the stores in Maryland next to the apartments. I would buy records and Barbie Doll clothes. I would get to see fairy tale movies at the Theatre near by and watch The Beatles Movies A Hard Day's Night and Help. Mom and my friends were there 8 hours watching these movies. I remember I didn't want to go to school because Jean Dixon said Martians were coming down to get nine year old girls with blonde hair and were going to take them to Mars. Our parents told the kids it wasn't true and we would be safe. My friends and I walked to school and kept looking for spaceships but none appeared. I was scared. Mom, Dad and I had pillow fights when we lived in the apartments and the neighbors downstairs banged on the wall and Dad said he was going downstairs to beat up the neighbor man but didn't. Some kids and I got in a card board box that a washing machine came in and the other kids shook it. It was like being on a fair ride. This is just a few I have. | Prompt: On this day in 1969, The Apollo 12 spacecraft returns to Earth, splashing down in the Pacific Ocean. Do you remember seeing the Apollo 12 launch and when it returned? Discuss how yo feel about space launches. Have you seen any launches? I remember watching rockets launch into space and splashing down. I don't remember Apollo 12 especially. I remember being at work and the Challenger crashed. That was sad. I used to watch rockets taking off on TV. I haven't seen any launches except for TV. I never understand why NASA used to send rocket ships up. The astronauts landed on the moon. Some people question that one. I feel they really landed on the moon. The moon would be fun to go to or Saturn. My father went in for Astronaut try outs. He went in for tests and all the obstacles needed to be considered for NASA Training. He wasn't chosen. My father and mother took me to Andrews Air Force Base to see the astronauts Grissom and Young in person. That was special. Sadly, Grissom was killed in a prelaunch test for the Apollo Mission. I hope NASA will be safer in the future when they send astronauts up. I would rather watch Star Wars and Guardians Of The Galaxy. I like fantasy in space better then reality. Space travel. I wish astronauts all the best.  |

My husband, mother, son and his wife and I are having Thanksgiving at my house. My son is making cornbread dressing. My mother is baking a pumpkin pie. My daughter-in-law is making gravy. Crooked politicians. These things happen in soap operas. I love soaps. Young and the Restless. The Bold and the Beautiful. Soap divas aren't afraid of anyone. I wish I was like that. Soap Weddings are the best. Their fashion shows. I wish I could wear those dresses and had some place to wear them to. Would I be happy being a Diva? I just visit these people on TV every day. I am a Diva for an hour. Country songs. Divorces. Someone stoled your dog. Your cattle get stolen. People threatening to shoot someone and shooting someone. Bar fights. A bull walks into a bar. Men fighting over a woman. Oh. This is Yellowstone. Soap operas and country songs. Is there a difference? I love soaps and country songs both. I would love to be a cowgirl. I do love 🐎 A Soap Queen or a cowgirl? I can watch soaps or listen to country songs. I can do both. Life is like soap operas and country songs. We can be anyone we want to be when we are writing. I saw singer Lynn Anderson in a parade once riding a horse. I should have got her autograph but I didn't. I am going to watch Macy's Thanksgiving Parade this year.  |
