What is your favorite fantasy and why? What about it makes it so magical to you?

Fantasies are reality about to happen.
And the one that I still think about is experiencing a waterfall.
Not just sitting there and watching it flow, feeling it spray, and the like.
Taking the leap of faith and standing in it's midst.
A moment in time where the waterfall and I are one.
Savoring that thought, keeps me focused on taking the plunge o'er and o'er.
You just have to believe that this is still the year that me and the waterfall will make a fantasy become a reality.

Apply your heart to instruction
and your ears to words of knowledge. Proverbs 23:12

Every day when I get up, I try to learn something new by the end of that day. Interacting with the customers at work offers brief moments to learn from others experiences. One man who served our country and is now retired from that service, always gives the best words of wisdom aside from God's word. His experiences in life have taught him how to live a better life and that includes sharing his faith in the Lord.

When he speaks; I listen; because I know wisdom will be added to my life on that day. Read God's Word daily beloved. That is my advice to you today. For within the pages of the Bible are passages that will change your life for the better every day. Even if you read one chapter a day and understand what that chapter says to your heart; or even verse that touches your heart; you have gained a new perspective to go forward with in the days and weeks ahead. This is "applying your heart to instruction."

As for "listening to words of knowledge", I pray you will find one who passes their wisdom on so you may too apply that to your heart and grow wiser from day-to-day.
You are beloved!

How do you feel about critiques? Do you feel they are beneficial ? Would you rather give them or receive them?

Critiques are beneficial in that they help improve what you have written.
Receiving them is what I'd rather do, but also love giving them too.
It helps me to appreciate the work it takes to create a piece.
Telling me a better way to do something helps me grow.
In the area of giving them, I try to be encouraging and honest about it.
Quality works often inspire me to give quality critiques.
Unique pieces allow the opportunity to expand your abilities.
Even when it's just a cursory comment in an email, the critique has an impact on the way you approach future projects.

Want to experience a waterfall.
All year long I anticipated this, but took a fall.
There was not enough time,
Every minute seemed so sublime.
Rearing it's ugly head, the dragon struck.
Flaring, glaring, and down right stuck.
A victim of it's gigantic size; it finds;
Limbs stuck in the mud, upwards it climbs,
Lugging it's treasure through the waterfall.

The cave behind the waterfall, is full of gold, jewels and other trinkets the dragon has wrested away from it's many conquests and exploits. Haste be the day when the waterfall comes into my view and until then the "treasures" the dragon has garnered will motivate me to push forward through the muck and mire of time and tide.

Prompt: It's said that the cover-up is worse than the crime. Do you agree or disagree?

The cover-up has to be the worse.
Here you have a crime and they know they've committed the crime and want to make it look like it wasn't them. How ludicrous is the thought. But still the criminal has to cover up his/her actions. If you're gonna do the crime, you better be ready to do the time, because eventually the truth will be found out and you will be on the way to the poky.
The cover-up is often full of holes and lies have to be built upon other lies. Eventually it all falls down and it's only a matter of time before justice catches up with him/her.

On 1/27/16 I had surgery to remove a gold weight from my left eye.
The purpose of the weight was to keep myelid down so I would not have to tape my eye down when I'm sleeping. In 2003, I had Bells Palsy and basically my eyebrow and eyelid started caving into my eye.
The brow lift and insertion of the gold weight was done and I have been thankful to know that my eye was protected and that my eyebrow is not hindering my sight.
However; the gold weight was beginning to become more of a hindrance than a help. I'm grateful to know that all this time it did protect my eye and that it is still in good shape. Now that the weight is out of my eyelid I have to be able to close my eyelid on my own and to be able to keep it closed. So far I have been able to do that and that's a blessing.
On 2/22/16, I will go back for a second follow up with the eye doctor and then they will determine if I need to put the weight back in or if I'm at last free of this thing in my eyelid. I'm praying and working toward the later. The bar weights 8/10th of an ounce and is 18k, but not pure, basically I have a piece of gold for a necklace. I'm okay with that because now I can tell people that I got that out of my body and let them wonder from where.
I haven't been online for awhile and so much less here than I'd like to be, but maybe after this 2/22 visit I can have a little more normal time to visit the place I love and will soon lose because my upgrade has to be done by the end of the month.
You are beloved!

What tips do you have for bloggers?

Write about what's on your heart. You can't go wrong there. People will see it and identify with that.
When there's an earth shattering event in the news, consider well the position you will take, and don't get too preachy.
When a significant event happens in your, life and that of your family, share a blurb or two. People will respond and rejoice or mourn with you.
Blog when you have something to say, Not just to respond to the prompt to update your blog.
Have fun. The day blogging becomes a chore is the day you need to lay the pencil down in that part of your writing. Then pick it up again when you feel the onus to do so. A blog doing dormant is not always a bad thing, and only you know when it will be revived.

Do you believe you need to know sadness in order to appreciate happiness?

It's not a matter of needing to know sadness in order to appreciate happiness. It's more a matter of experiencing sadness that this world will throw at you and learning that "this too shall pass."
Then when good comes around and you are happy, you can know that "this too shall pass", which breeds the appreciation for the happier times in your life.

Okay that's it for waxing philosophical.
Thanks for the prompt!

Prompt: How do you stay creative with your writing?

Write, just write.
Reading is good to get your creative juices flowing, then
It is up to you to get in there and do what you feel flowing.
Take up that pen, that pencil, or even that keyboard and write.
Each line you create is unique, because you chose to write.

Just jumping in and scribbling away is another way to be creative.
Unleashing the inner muse and watching where it goes.
Submitting to the urge to write and doing just that often blooms into awesome!
Touching the heart of another, and having their feedback also helps it going.

When you're feeling in the dumps, kinda like I was yesterday,
Reviewing for few hours will help your outlook and expand creativity.
It's not rocket science, it's you seeking to continually improve.
Think about it beloved; and know that it's possible to be creative;
Even when you feel like you don''t have it in you any longer; write, just write! Soon you will be on your way to a whole new level of creativity.
You are beloved!
