Set in the distant future, the latest major hacker on NeuralNet, Xero, begins attracting the attention of groups looking to recruit him for espionage. As Xero relates back the story of his first foray into corporate espionage, we learn of his cold and devestating bodyguard Gia, and the rocky beginnings of their relationship as a team. As the job's impractical difficulty begins mounting, Xero begins to wonder exactly why a rookie was sent into the Cleveland Metroplex in the first place.
