Post-apocalyptic teen love story. W/a eye to hippie nirvana that never found expression

Part one is a story of Jack Webster who is renamed Searcher upon entrance into River City. River City is a fenced city that arose as a fort of olden times to protect it's inhabitants. The first part takes place within the city. Searcher falls in love with Angel a popular street kid that stays with a lesbian witch. Conflicting emotions and turmoil follow them both an a journey of hormones and angst.
