An attempt at Haiku's each day beginning 2013 |
This is a well-intentioned beginning to what I hope will be a haiku a day, or thereabouts. |
stars scattered widely fingernail moon punctuates a beautiful night |
a buzzard flew by and left a deposit near he was full of it |
as darkness crept up fog fingers slid obscuring turning sunset off |
I swatted a fly he was much slower than I no more buzzing noise |
absent fall colors old man winter rushes in what is his hurry? |
the rush now begins holiday season is near let it snow in hell |
wiping out the past with gentle strokes of a pen it’s not that easy |
memories bubble time passes very quickly yesterday is gone |
The skies are weeping misting swirls then touches down thirsty plants rejoice |
Grey matter hangs on Obscuring jagged mountains Bringing hope of rain |
A lazy Sunday matted hair, wrinkled bedsheets love is in the air |
daylight grows shorter the nights seem so much longer fiddle with the clock |
a gentle breeze blows twirling silk plants in baskets the temperature drops |
long shadows creep by day and night we seem so tall yet unimportant |
Commas in the sky fall's hesitation is noted the sentence complete |
It is official I've changed my name once again now I'll Reep not sow. |
Ninety-nine years old Plenty of changes were seen A family grieves. For Scarlett and Hubby. My sincere sympathy. |
Rivulets of sweat like raindrops on a window yet it is so dry |
Chandelier swaying canvas pieces flap wildly gazebo crashes |
Cloud figures running High above silent windmills Graceful wind swimmers Fins in the desert Reminders of days gone by Dinosaur airplanes Electric flashes The crackle of thunder sounds Bits of ice hail down |
