An attempt at Haiku's each day beginning 2013 |
This is a well-intentioned beginning to what I hope will be a haiku a day, or thereabouts. |
artificial turf gleams an impossible green perhaps it will melt |
Jagged mountains rise Piercing the light blue above Nothing seeps out |
Summer comes and goes flirting with autumn again winter falls behind |
Sunset colors thrown a moment of pink is seen upon a gray stone |
The blanket of fog wrapped snugly around the heat cooled us down last night |
it seems there's a brake been slammed on for the heat wave rhetoric has cooled |
looking through photos videos of it raining cruising memories |
chilling thoughts of war do little to relieve me of the heat at night |
buzzards flying high looking for victims of heat that will not be me. |
The pine trees swaying Gray squirrel scampers from treetops Wineglass needs refill. |
black flies buzzing 'round keeping humans from the pool another hot day. |
golden orb melting over mountains of chocolate eating with my eyes |
wavy lines of heat cooking everything in sight raw energy gone |
Silence the drumbeats Let the children sleep tonight Kiss all war goodbye |
who turned on the heat making it unbearable? millions of ants march |
. poor dry golden brush Lady Fire needs no invite To dine on it soon |
Whipped up thunderheads hold their moisture in for now rain is the cherry |
Sunshine embraces the day stretches out ahead lazy summer day |
shadow tentacles reaching up the mountainside tell today's forecast. |
Almost over now summer’s dog days are behind fall awaits the call |
