Jennifer comes home to Georgia, divorced. The last thing she expects is loving again.
Jennifer Matthews returns to Collinsville, Georgia after years away. Her angry, teenage daughter is in tow. Chloe is angry over her parents divorce and refuses to accept the move. Things become worse when Jennifer runs into her childhood crush, Jordan Taylor. Jordan is eager to recapture their friendship, and possibly turn the relationship into more. Chloe plans to do whatever it takes to keep the two apart. Yet, when strange things start happening at the ranch, like fraudulent visitors, the barn being set on fire, and a long stretch of fence being destroyed, Chloe decides it's better to help Jordan solve the case. Along the way, she begins to fall for the officer, despite his interest in her mom.

Jennifer finds Jordan harder to resist once Chloe warms up to him too. Seeing him with her daughter, treating her like he does warms her heart and softens her resistance. It doesn't take long for her to realize Jordan has always been the man she's supposed to be with. However, Jennifer has one secret that threatens to destroy her whole life and take away the love of everyone she cares for.
