A while back, I decided for myself to be more positive. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. But we have to try, right? My co-workers make it very difficult, so my struggle is a daily one. Being a grown-up doesn't mean you act like one, lets just say. After finding Fran 💜 💜 💜   's challenge, "Invalid Item"  , she brought this decision back to mind, and I am certain that I can find at least a few things positive in my day to day life.  ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only **

Counting my blessings today, the Lord's day... Thank God for my health. I see people with bad health problems every day at work. I am one of the blessed. Thank God for my family, especially my sons and my Destiny. I love them more than words can describe. Thank God that my bills are few, and my blessings are many. I'm tired, but its a good tired. At least I know its leading toward a paycheck. Praise God for letting me get back into the swing of things. After two nights of sleeping over, I was sad to come home to no Destiny this evening - but it gives us both time to miss each other until next time, and it will be all the sweeter! My granddaughter is coming for a sleepover!  I love this child more than life itself. One day I asked God to please send me the love of my life, and He most certainly did! Destiny and I called my oldest son, Brandon. I loved seeing how happy it made them to talk; they are so close. Its been a while since they've seen each other, but hopefully that will be remedied soon! I have decided to try to get my book Landon the Turtle published. I believe it is polished and ready to go. | Today I was contacted by a group leader of Paper Doll Gang, and I was asked if I wanted to take their newbie writing course. I said "yes," and moments later she emailed and told me that after seeing my portfolio, she thinks didn't need the classes, and I should be a mentor instead. She automatically added me to the group. I am so proud! A story I wrote for Just One Point of View contest won 2nd place! Tomorrow is my day off, and I am tired and blessed! ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** |
| One of my favorite customers prayed over me today at work, concerning my recent surgery. She just grabbed my hand and began to pray, and I prayed right along with her. I am not ashamed to show my faith in public, and was touched and happy for her prayer. I helped a young lady with her application today at work and wished her the best in her job search. She smiled happily and thanked me. I love helping people and bringing a smile. Had a very nasty customer today, but I just let it go. | I have been praying hard for my oldest son to find another job. As soon as my sister and I started praying, the interview calls started rolling in. He has 5 companies that are interested and have called him back for second interviews. God is SO good! I feel so blessed with my life as I now know it. Twenty years ago, I was a battered wife who thought there was no way out. But I literally woke up one morning, brave, and by lunchtime told my husband I had gotten a house for my boys and I, and we were leaving. Praise God! Although I am tired, I know that I am healthy, have family who love me, a granddaughter who adores me, and a God who never, EVER fails me! ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** |
Had a customer come back to our pharmacy after he left angry and took his business elsewhere. He told the whole pharmacy that *I* talked him into it, and that was the only reason he was coming back, and told me he would stay with us as long as *I* worked there! A childhood neighbor's wife came into pharmacy, and we talked about how life in our neighborhood used to be. It brought back great memories. Just had a really fun day with my co-workers today. I am all caught up (23 days) on Give It 100! So excited...can't wait for that MB! I started back to work today, and it was amazing. My great-niece works there now with me, and it was a joy! I decided to wear my makeup to work today, and got a lot of appreciative looks (flirts, LOL!) from gentlemen customers.  ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** |
| Found out that one of my favorite movies, Hunger Games, was filmed in my home state of N.C. Got my hair cut in my favorite style to prepare for back to work on Monday. Even wore makeup. Made me feel great! Started to buy ice cream for dessert, but got strawberries instead. Just one step in the right direction, but its a start. ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** |
| Today I am thankful for being pain-free after surgery. The doctor gave me the okay to go back to work, so I can earn money. I am grateful to my family, who have been there for me during my time off from work. ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** |
