Scanty snippets on/of poetry
A poet has to manifest herself in a safe environment. This is such a place for my early baby steps. The wonders of the world and my inner thoughts mingle. They become one. It’s a journey of the soul, a spark of the mind, and a bit of spit. For more "Poet @ Work 2 [18+]

A glimpse of nature

On the other hand: it might be a brooding place for challenges and poetry contests, some of which required ONE STAR RATING. (In case somebody wonders about the *StarB* *StarB*gracing this blog) A large group of writers participated in this challenge that required to rate as low as possible. So, it doesn't mean this blog is a bad blog or that they reviewed mean, it was required and this is the consequence. Alas!

Tonight it is on: Biden and Trump
Election time, trolls' thrill, info dump
USA; the World: watch what may comep!

From three till five the aired fight is real
Don’t treat it like “it’s no big a deal”
All will be watching - ready to reel?

Waver and swagger; dance with those two
The show must go on, stakes are high too
Inform y’all, talk, and vote then, please, do.

The Big Bang Theory revisited

An orange pumpkin from outer space
Her alchemy working through the maze
She drank stiff fluids and spelled
“Sunshine, moonlight” and yelled
“I knew it, I’m a druid touched base!”

Nature’s barrage

A river flows
Some cows are mooing
The wind blows from the west
Rest

Water seeps
Through cracks, it’s creeping
Icefall rumbles to the east
Join the feast!

In passing

Saw you in that crowd
Oh! Lightning bolt, your face lit
Alone for seconds
We split in separate halves
On our ruptured ways to where?

A dancer, jingling as he moves

(watching, you think of cultural identity)

Ropes begin to move, slowly over the stage
Bells shaped into bullets

Foreboding words: the ending of the world
An intense relentless crescendo of violin, saxophone

The stage blackens
Floating ethereal beings acutely aware of the descent into chaos

I am transfixed, already sobbing

Breathing in and
slowly out; at ease
Quiet and peaceful in these
chords of tranquillity

Waterfall; rushing leaves

Stormy weather, sun
is rising
Breaking dawn, door
adjourned

Silence!

You sit around getting older
All the years and no one heard

Been there, done that, messed around

Tick, tick, tick, tick on the watch
And life’s too short for me to stop

9/1 PROMPT Pick any line from David Bowie's LET'S DANCE and use it as inspiration for your poem. Make sure you indicate which lyric(s) you chose at the end of your poem

Swirling through Life’s roller coaster
Every day a challenge, a point of view
Meeting you is meeting me
In that empty space we pause

Prompt: Sway through the crowd to an empty space

April 29—the penultimate

[Not the last]

Not the last
But at least
The penultimate

Still, one to go

One poem to create

One day
One effort
One last time

Thirty poems
for thirty days

Almost over
Almost done
Gone!
