It's just a game. It's just a dream. I hope it's not the truth. |
When you have always thought something was okay, normal, exactly how you pictured it...it hurts the most when the reality comes back to bite you. Kendra Philips thought she was pretty well off, disturbing memories of the past put behind her. That is until a few stormy clouds of remembrance are forced back in...and the past comes back to haunt her. When Kendra and her friends take a trip to Jakalea's aunt's house in Baton Rouge for the night, she's forced to open up to her friends about something terrifying that had happened a few years prior through a game they decided to play in the basement. When it finally escapes her mouth, though, the fear of it coming back and happening all over again overwhelms her soul. It doesn't help the fear subside when Kendra begins having nightmares and flashbacks reminding her of things in her past she never knew had actually happened. Before long, Kendra can't remember the last time she had a peaceful night of sleep, as something seems to be haunting her room at night. Before anything else can happen, Kendra tries her best to piece the flashbacks, nightmares and the one terrifying memory she had revealed to her friends together. Are they really just dreams? Or is there something really haunting her room at night before she sleeps? And most importantly—what was behind the creation of that game? The game they called, Completely Honest. ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** UPDATES EVERY TUESDAY & THURSDAY Current Word Count: 9,434 Words Word Count Goal: 50,000 Words (Previously titled as "Before You Sleep") |
