Fred the Frog has been evicted from his yard by his mother. He unexpectedly shows up at Carolyn's pond where Daisy the Duck, Russell the Rabbit, Rose the Reclining Deer, Jerome the Gnome, and even St. Francis come to life. The story evolves into a dispute between Carolyn and her best friend, Tessa, and Fred becomes a hero.
