Catriona McClane is one of the few surviving priestesses of the Volvor, a sect of the Valgarin people of Valgard. The Valgarins are the fierce enemy of the Jil'hani people, and a mysterious force has been destroying Valgard villages.

The last old priestess passed all her knowledge on to Catriona before she died, and now Catriona must rebuild the priestesshood, as well as raise an army to fight the invaders.

Will she succeed?
