We shouldn't hide whom we really are.

[Introduction]
What is it, this mask we wear?
Hiding behind who we really are,
trying to keep ourselves from the outside world
keeping them at a distance, hiding our scars.

We keep these masks on
pretending to say life's fine,
never telling anyone the truth
behind these masks, we're confined.

We wear these masks every day
hiding behind them, not letting anyone know,
whom we really are inside
looking through life's closed window.
