mystery about a girl in the future searching for food and supplies

[Introduction]
The vast Skyline that lay before them had buildings of varies structures which were very run down and distorted to a large degree. Sam was cautious to proceed. The building in front of Sam looked abandon like so many before. Yet, Sam was sure they had seen a flash of light, coming from within somewhere in the building a head. It was time to get food and something sanitary to drink. Water was scares these days, but somehow. Zum-H2o had survived everywhere.

As Sam walked in, they made sure to look twice both ways for any sign of predators. It was almost too quiet, yet they proceeded ahead. They searched several rooms but there were nothing but abandon furniture and objects laying around. Many, which had already been searched and reimaged through. It had already been about half an hour, since they had been in the abandoned building. Sam was about to give up and get out of there, but something told them to try one more room and there she was!

The young lady was tethered to a table, Sam cautiously approached her. Wondering what the young woman had done to lead herself to this predicament. As Sam looked on they could see the woman was in a deep sleep. For her chest was just rising up and down calmly. Sam cautiously approached her, and seeing as she had something wrapped around her mouth carefully untied it. The cloth fell to the floor, like a ribbon.

As soon as Sam untied her, the woman woke up instantly then demanded she tell her… Who Sam was and why she was there. Shocked by her response, Sam was at first silent. Then shook her head with disappoint with her reaction she had received. For some reason Sam thought she should be grateful, even to the point of thanking her profusely. But that was not the case by any means, once again the woman demanded to know who she was…her hands were still confined together against a leg of a table. However, this seemed to hardly bother her.

Her dark, hazel eyes, with the color of chocolate currently had a glint of a sparkle. Not in anyway magical, but filled with life. Her clothes were not as expected either, for they were not old and tattered. In fact, they looked new and not from this world. Sam was confused by the situation at hand. Sam didn’t know what to make of her. She was annoyed by the women’s actions and wanted to simply walk away; on the other hand…she was a sympathetic person. So she patiently stayed to try to sort things out and help if she could..

Jade continued to glare at Sam, as she was sitting on the floor. Her long, dark wavy hair was just disheveled around her shoulders. Some of her hair fell across her face. She was naturally beautiful, but right now just appeared like a beautiful mess. Her olive skin glowed even in the dense light of the room. She looked like starlight if possible in human form.

On the contrary, Sam had clothes full of dirt and sand from traveling far in the desolate land which had come to be Earth. Her hair a mess and unkept long, light blonde. She was not ugly by any means; just her hair disguised her appearance quite drastically. She was rather tall, almost 6 feet with a healthy complexion. Not at all fat, yet not skinny in the least. She too had olive skin, but slightly darker. Her dark brown eyes searched the young woman’s face, in hopes of revealing who she might be, or from where?

After several moments had passed of long seconds to minutes, she finally introduced herself and told Sam her name. The woman looked at her funny for a moment, then in an accent unknown to her, which sounded like Australian, but was not. She simply said her name was Jade. She did not say anything else.

Sam was frustrated by now and she had so many questions, especially where the woman was from.

Mean while, Jade thought Sam was being a little dramatic. She gave her a strange look then asked if, she could finally untie her. Sam laughed quietly to herself then slowly replied “Why are you tied and what happened?” At this Jade smiled and simply said “Miscommunication”. How very helpful, Sam thought then sighed…..
