I had my Thursday routine of volunteering at the 411 until four, then I would take the False Creek bus to pick up Garry and go out to Wendy’s for dinner. In the past few weeks, when I got off the bus, it would go down the street, and it seemed to enter a tunnel where there was no tunnel. The bus would simply disappear out of sight. I would get Gary and go out to the bus stop and wait for the next 50 bus. It would arrive, and the bus would take its usual route, and we’d get off in front of Wendy’s.

I got to thinking about how the bus would disappear down the road when I got off to pick up Garry. So one day, my curiosity got the best of me. I decided to stay on the bus instead of getting off to meet up with Gary. I looked out the window as it proceeded down the road just as the bus enter into a well-lit tunnel. There were only four of us on the bus as the bright lite entered the bus windows.
