Two-in-One Poetry Contest

Unsure and uncertain, I entered the room;
Alone and friendless, I wandered like a loon.

Then all at once my eyes met his steady gray eyes,
that my life would forever change from then on, I did never realize.

Every time he looked at me, my breath caught , I sighed.
With every smile of his, my joy I couldn't ever hide.

Wrapped in rapture, enveloped in enchantment,
I drifted along, cherishing the ardor heaven sent.

He was the song in my heart, the leap in my limbs,
the twinkle in my eye, the light that never dims.

His touch burned my skin, his caress set me ablaze;
I couldn't but decide if i was caught in a whirlwind or a maze.

The colors grew more vibrant, the tones more distinct;
I didn't want to miss a moment, not even to blink.

The fragrance of first love had me in its sweet embrace,
filling with gladness, both my nights and my days.
