Greetings! I joined this site in March 2007, and I must say, it's kept me busy. (Busy and happy, that is). *Smile* There are so many friendly and talented writers here! In my family, the kitchen has always been the center of our home. It's a place to play cards, laugh, lie, and otherwise have a good time. I hope you'll stop in and say hello.

The earliest I remember writing was when I was around eight or so. I still remember my first poem. Ready?

Down by the pond where the lavender grows,
a big black bumblebee flew past my nose.
Said he to me as he flew by,
catch me if you dare to try!


OK, so I'm not Robert Frost, but those were my humble beginnings. Writing has always been a passion and come from deep within. For many years, that passion has lain dormant but never extinguished. In the last couple of years I have been determined to be more active. This site helps me and supports me in the goal to write and improve.
