What is the Mechanics Forum?

The Mechanics Forum is our dedicated forum for discussing the mechanics of writing. This is the place to be if you get 'me' and 'I' mixed up, if you get your imperative and indicative moods confused, or if you have a burning grammar question to ask. If it is about the mechanics of writing you can find the answer here!

What can we discuss?

As mentioned above this is a writing mechanics forum. This forum is only for discussing mechanics. Mechanics includes things like grammar, spelling, word usage, etc... This is not the forum to discuss plotting, characterisation, or anything relating to the creative side of writing (though once you understand mechanics it can be used creatively). That kind of discussion is more appropriate in our dedicated writing forum.
