Studying the Sword of the Lord. Sharing what I learn, questions I have, and answers I find
I need to work on writing things down when I read my Bible otherwise I won't really be studying it as I should. So I'm writing it down here so that each time I get on WDC I'll think of it and remember how that is more important than playing around on WDC and even writing.
I've wanted to add a Freewill Baptist background to each of my books so that even when I am writing I have my eyes pointed towards God. My writing abilities come from the Lord Jesus Christ and I need to remember that. When you don't remember that pride begins to get in the way and before too long you don't even thank the Lord for the gift he has given you. I want whoever is to be my readers to see the Lord in my writing and see the Bible in my work.
Some people base stories on Bible stories and they have good books that are read. Even if my stories aren't successful for that reason it's okay because when we suffer for Christ we are blessed greatly. The Lord is in control and he has plans for my life and I'm okay with that.
I thank the Lord that he has given me the ability to write and I pray He uses my writing to reach people. If my writing is enough to get them searching I will be overjoyed. If only my writing can point a person in the right direction I want to share it. I'm a hopeless romantic so at times I struggle with this but I hope as I write it will pull in the romance readers enough that they can't just put it down and I can turn it into something beautiful and Godly without going too far and hurting my own conscience.
I believe people have a choice and I know that most non-Christians won't read Christian books so why not write fiction with the truth inside?
I want to let everyone know so there are no misunderstandings. I bold phrases/verses that are straight from the Bible. If they are not bold that means I have added my own comments as I pull parts from those verses that jumped out at me and I talk about things I have learned in my life or from other areas of the Bible. I'm sorry if there were any misunderstandings, I don't want anyone to think I am adding or taking away from the Bible. Please come to me if you have questions
