Dialogues of 500 words or less.

Welcome to the Dialogue 500!

This contest uses only spoken words or internal dialogue!

(Please, none of that he/she said with lengthy "background"-- just dialogue! Hence the name! Write like people speak. Use contractions. Flavor with accents. Branch out. When writing dialogue, anything goes. Throw out all the rules of grammar you've been brainwashed with, write like people talk! )

Post here with a bitem link in a new forum post. {bitem:itemnumber} (where "itemnumber" is the item number of the Static Item you are entering.)
Your Static Item needs to be a Short Story, 500 words or less, and must consist of only dialogue.
Remember: it needs to be a story, with a plot, not a vignette.

Prizes

As always, all eligible entries get 1000 smackers just for playing.

First place receives:
Merit Badge of my choosing to define the winner's heroic feats of dialogue and 10,000 Gift Points.
There may be special rounds here or there with extra prizes-- all the more reason to enter early and often.

I am also instituting Rally Bonuses in rounds where 10 or more players compete. Rally Bonuses are random prizes of my choosing to allow me to reward more people for more writing. Sometimes it's a double-entry bonus, and sometimes it's crazier than that.
