The Daily Rant

You know the people I mean..there's at least one in every office. The person who is always obsessing about being clean and tidy. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that we should be slobs..but these people take it way too far.

This person is the type who wears "office shoes." These shoes never leave the building! The person wears sneakers or some other type of shoe from his/her car to the office. He/she (okay, let's stop the political correctness and assume that this person is a woman) takes off her "outside" shoes, and wears her "office" shoes inside all day. Then at the end of the day, she cleans her shoes with wet wipes! How did they get dirty? They never touch dirt!

Then there is the obsessive cleaning of the desk and/or general office area.. This never stops. The desk can never be clean enough. The clean freak also doesn't stop talking about being clean. She loves to complain about others' cleanness or lack thereof. She complains loudly about how dirty her car is (even though it's nearly spotless), and says that she won't let other people in her car, because they don't wipe their feet before getting in. She also will not let people in her house during the winter months, because they will track in mud.

I am fortunate enough (insert sarcasm) to have more than one of these people in my office. I could go on and on..
