Re: Scholarship to convention?
Two years in a row, I have applied for and received a scholarship. The first year, I cancelled before any payments due to a conflict with a conference I had been enrolled in nearby. I hadn't paid for the conference and was honor bound to go and report back to the group that sent me.

This year, I even made two non-refundable (and I understood that before I made them) payments ($80), but had a couple of financial crises that prevented me from affording transportation or anything else I needed.

I know I need the convention, but seems like other things are working against me.
