How long have your friends been with PA, Sasha? From my research and contact with former authors, everyone is happy for awhile and then reality sinks in.

Even at smaller houses, authors are not expected to promote their own work. A friend of mine has a book coming out with Behler in January. They are doing the primary marketing of his work and they will be the ones to contact the bookstores about placement and as well as send out copies to the largest book reviewers.

Never underestimate the attention a little house can provide to its authors.
