K'neto's Hotline

Dear caller,

Because you have been a loyal follower and caller of K'neto's Hotline, you are cordially invited to a week-long competition to be hosted by Spiral Kinetochore himself. Check out the following guidelines:



In line with the celebration of his special day, there will be a contest to be held via the telephone lines of K'neto's Hotline.

MECHANICS:

This competition welcomes short story entries, 25kb and below.

Content rating must not exceed 18+, and item description must not exceed 13+.

Old or new items are allowed, in any genre.

Entries must be posted with a {bitem:######} link, and the subject should be "ENTRY: title of your story" to avoid confusion with other calls.

It must include a "telephone conversation" or something involving a "telephone." Keep in mind that the prompt should play a critical role in it, and not just mentioned in the story.

I would only require you to rate at least one item in my port as an entry pass or rather, a birthday present for me.

Contest will run from August 23, 2005 until August 30, 2005 (11.59pm).

Winners will be announced a week or two later.

The winning entries are to be judged fairly and accordingly by yours truly. Having only one participant doesn't necessarily mean he will be an instant winner. Only deserving entries will bag the prizes.

PRIZES:

5,000 GPS for the Best Story

3,000 GPS for the 2nd Best Story

2,000 GPS for the 3rd Best Story

500 GPS for the effort of deserving entries who won't make it in top three.

Donations and birthday gifts would be welcome, too!!! Just specify where they should go: in the prize box, or in my piggy bank?

If you are actually wondering about my rating system, you'll be disappointed because I haven't got a definite one. Plus, check out my reviewing errands all throughout my hotline.

I am an avid reader, and an editor, at the same time, so keep an eye with those errors, too! And I would love to have a few twists... those stories which offer something new... something unconventional... just like a spiral kinetochore.
