Victoria and Ann do what they can to prevent other authors from falling victim to scam agents and publishers or those with unsavory business practices through their work with Writer Beware! and, when they are able, they provide public warnings through various media. They also lobby the authorities to get them to take an interest in the larger and more blatant scammers. New York Literary Agency is one of the ones they would like the authorities to take a greater interest in.
