These kind of dreams are kinda common and identify possible sources of stress in your life. Decay is a symbol of negligence and Death a symbol of change.

This may reflect the fact that you are worried about your cats and whether you are taking care of them. The mother's hand falling off may have somthing to do with you neglecting your relationship with her.....
