H.P Lovecraft

Ok I must say I am a big fan of H.P Lovecraft. The stories were rich in characters and did not necessarily need real gore to make them scary. Oh don't get me wrong, I like gore like the next person, but lately when I read newer works and they put gore characteristics in there it does not seem to have a purpose and is just put in there to label it as 'horror'
