Ok. Take it as a given that I have a little place in my heart for all the Captains My first choice would have been Sisko, but for the lack of an Enterprise. She's my reason for loving all forms of Trek, and the reason that I attended many a British Convention in my youth, as a proud engineer (gold tunic, Next Gen - kiss,kiss Mike Okuda).

It's at this point, of usurping the Captains with the ship herself, that I feel compelled to stick up for ENTERPRISE in one area alone. Trip's nostrils - I don't know why. Maybe it's the Southern drawl? Maybe it's the sneering derision that can only be echoed in other Engineers shrugs, sighs, and socket-wrench sets; but those nostrils...

Any-hoo! I just would love to salute the NCC-1701D as my favourite - so I guess I'll be taking Jean-luc as my Captain
