Question about teenagers
I have a young adult novel and in one scene (and probably more), a couple of the high school kids go out for coffee at a local place after school. I had one reviewer tell me that high school kids don't really do that.

So, according to my vast experience watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer, high school kids in California at least like their iced coffee...however, I wasn't a coffee drinker at that age, and none of my friends were, so even if it had been a trend back then I doubt that we would have gone for coffee.

So that's my question - is it realistic that a couple of high school kids would go for coffee to talk? Or is that too mature for that age group?
