ONE quote plus ONE poetry form equals ONE Poem |
Using the Ansel Adams quote with the cuts in reverse order: Silhouette Like swirling smoke from a midnight cigarette, a fuzzy concept of forever fast fades away at the grim sight of a silhouette. A dark silhouette on her drawn window shades projects the sharp image of cruel deceit, while the soft sound of Johnny Mathis serenades. Two people embracing there, seen from the street, bring pain worse than a rusty strand of barbed wire ripping through my heart as I quickly retreat. There is nothing left but the sinking quagmire of emotion brought on by that brash coquette and the consequences of her cold satire.
