***A woman knows the face of the man she loves as a sailor knows the open sea.
~Honore de Balzac

A WOMAN KNOWS

A woman knows simple grace,
Sprouting from the ground,
Will glorify her crystal vase.

She knows a scented embrace,
The face of beauty abound;
A woman knows simple grace.

Her Grandma’s finest lace,
Given of the man renowned,
Will glorify her crystal vase.

Dreaming of winning love's race,
She loves with blindness profound;
A woman knows simple grace.

As a sailor knows his place,
She knows beauty crowned
Will glorify her crystal vase.

Life’s an open sea, a race,
Its mysteries profound.
A woman knows simple grace
Will glorify her crystal vase.

***A woman knows the face of the man she loves as a sailor knows the open sea.
~Honore de Balzac

***Written for The Two Become One Contest. The challange of this contest is to pick a quote and weave it through your poem.

***The Style of this poem is a Villanelle. Rhyme Scheme:
Aba/aba/aba/aba/aba/abaa

(Unfortunately after a few hours of hard work, I realized I have one too many stanzas. Hopefully, since they are so short, it might be ok. However, if not I do understand. I'd make a change somehow to correct this, if I had time. Deadline, however is almost up.)

Line structure: ~~~Villanelle~~~
The first line in the first stanza is coming back, as the third line of the second stanza and fourth stanza.

The third line of the first stanza is coming back as the third line in the third stanza and the fifth stanza.

In the quatrain, the first line of the first stanza is the third one of the quatrain, and the third line of the first stanza comes back as the forth line of the quatrain.

There are two ways to live your life...
One is as though nothing is a miracle,
The other is as though everything is a miracle.
-Albert Einstein
