Two Questions

1. Does anyone know much about different types of ships or somehwere online that talks about them in a cohernt manner? I would like the ships in my books to have more description, but I don't know a lot about them and I'm haveing a hard time finding a good reference.

2.Can the tip of a sword get bent? What would bend it? How would you go about fixing it? Okay, so that was more than two questions.
