Fountain of Knowledge

Copyright is tricky thing. If you don't intend to make money off it or impede the movie's money making, it shouldn't be an issue. It would probably be looked at as fan fiction. But I'm not a lawyer. What I know of copyright, I learned earning my library science degree. And I asked about fan fiction since so many fan fics are on the web these days. That's basically what I was told by the copyright expert. There should be any number of university library websites that have a web page dedicated to explaining copyright in more detail.
