Flash Fiction Contest--300 words or less

You're welcome, Mike. I hope to have another contest soon. Maybe a mix of poetry and stories so more people will participate. (The reviewing part is very time-consuming for me... because I'm such a perfectionist and don't want to mess up anyone's review. It's easy to miss things without three or four reads... and then I continue to check what the author has written even as I make comments to make sure to get it right. (I'm bound to make an error here and there anyway, but all we can do is our best.) My goal is to be helpful without being the least bit hurtful. That can be a difficult task because we are all so sensitive about our writing --- it's so personal, which makes it easy to get your feelings hurt.
