Can you describe how the feature you're requesting would work? I'm not sure I follow how people would get onto the email list, how they would get back off the list if they no longer wanted to participate in the contests, what item type you're using for the contests, etc. Also, don't be offended by others giving you suggestions on how to use the current system to do what you're looking for. The site "todo list" is very long, so while we appreciate all suggestions, most suggestions take a long time before they're implemented.
