I really believe that newbies should get a reviewing learner's permit and their reviews shouldn't count for the first month they are here! I'm not just angry about low rates for my items - just yesteday, I saw one newbie rate another on the public page and found that the comments and the rate were too critical. I went and found the poem and gave it a correct, helpful and encouraging review. I know that once they start having their own pieces reviewed they'll get the idea, but I'm sick of seeing newbies who think they're Writing Professors or New Yorker magazine critics even when they have nothing in their ports worth reading. Wheew!! That does feel better.
