Your best bet is to work locally on your computer in MS Word or another program that can save at the time of a crash, or autosave. With web browser based writing, your computer only sends us the data when you click to submit.

It is always recommended that you write locally on your computer and then post into Writing.Com. This also ensures that your writing is kept in 2 separate places -- both your computer and Writing.Com.
