This may help you out - what are the creepiest and scariest movies out there (not going for the splatter and gross out.)

For me there's the Carpenter films. The Thing - Halloween - The Prince of Darkness.

From the 60's - 70's. The Haunting; The Haunting of Hill House

From the 80's - 90's. I Madman; The Exorcist 3 (The Original follow up to the novel, called Legion)

From the 00's. Switchblade Romance (though this is more of a thriller - it is creepy, like Psycho.)
