Forgive...

As I mused
Upon an old grudge,
I sighed.
'If Today was Your Last Day'
Floated in,
Jarring my thoughts
As familiar words
Washed over me,
"Would you call those friends you've never seen?
Reminisce old memories?
Would you forgive your enemies?"

The question
Loomed,
Playing out
Within my psyche,
Yet I knew
The answer.

No longer
Could I hold
Out on him.
The grudge's power
Weakens when
Faced with forgiveness,
Grace,
And love.
