Noticing Newbies

Hi. I joined the first of the month and I think I have had some success with the contest and everything . I want to write if I can just talk my wife(who is a non-reader person) to support me on this. I feel it could go a long way if I just had time to write. There are currently 2 novels I'm working on. One was a contest entry that I will continue and the other I came up with the Idea all by myself. I want to know all about the writing world and to see if I have what it takes to succeed and get published. If you would like please read my work in my portfolio and tell me what you think.
