Newbie...
by JayClay Author IconMail Icon
I registered a couple weeks ago, just now getting to making my newbie speech. I am 43, just now deciding to exercise my pen. My pen name is JayClay, and I am interested in a wide variety of creative writing. I can go from fantasy and dragons to space ships and SciFi in the bat of an eye, while adventure and mayhem are just a flinch away. I love to read, and spend probably more time than I should doing so. I can't really say what my writing style would be, as I just write whatever goes through my mind, at any given moment. I still do all my drafts the old fashioned way, with pen and paper, scratch through and scribble in the margins, until it's basically an unreadable mess to anyone but me. Once it meets my satisfaction, I'll put it through the processor, and make further changes to it. Just a habit I picked up from my inspiration and mentor, P Kirkwood. I only started writing as a more serious hobby lately, though I have invented tales for years, mainly for my kids. Just finally decided to put some to paper. Thanks for an awesome place to share and receive needed critique.
