I only have a couple minutes, so I'll try to return to this later. Just wanted to say that Tolkien is indeed, all that (even if you spell his name wrong). The movies didn't ruin LOTR, because movies can't ruin good books, but they did mean that many people who might have actually had to read the books don't, and that is a shame. Sadly, that includes all three of my children, even though Lord of the Rings is my favorite book and has been since 4th grade. Sigh!
