Picard or Janeway?

I loved "The next generation " and Jean Luc Picard was a brilliant captain but I always found him a bit too stern. If there is a captain in Starfleet that keeps up to the motto "to boldly go where no one has gone before" that is good old captain Janeway. She has broken more regulations that any other captain in Starfleet history but she never lost her ideals and she managed to survive the journey through the Delta quadrant despite consuming an amount of coffee that would kill an horse. Inspiring!
